I read all the articles related to adding statement inlcude=mdmcpq,inf,but which inf file should be modified.I am confused.Please help me.

I have Windows vista preloaded in my HP laptop.But i can not use my CDMA modem.My usb modem is CPC usb CDMA 5300.Whenever i install the driver formodem 'Opening usb com failure' message appears.My device works in wondows XP.I came to know that we must add "include=mdmcpq.inf" under the section "DDIinstall.NT","DDInstall.HW".But i am totally lost,which file is to modified.Is there any way?Please Help me.
