Usb problem

Hello,
I hv a kingston 2.0 pendrive but my pc cant detect this pendrive. i hv a usb mass storage device. The detail of my device is of micro soft cooperation/ 5.1.2600.2180 xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158 of file version. When i insert pendrive it says this device can perform faster if connect it to a high speed usb 2.0 port. plz suggest me. thanking u
