NO BOOTABLE DEVICE

Hello,
I have a dell desk top. When I turn it on it says no bootable device press f1 or f2. but each time i press f2, it takes me back to the same message. what do i do? SOME ONE PLEASE ME

No bootable device - this means that the hard drive was not found. So you have a disconnected or broken hard drive. Check the data and power cables to the hard drive.
