Hello,
I recently had the Internet Security 2010 spyware virus on my PC. I was able to remove it with Malwarebytes anti-malware. When I log in, even as the administrator or in safe mode, I see a quick glimpse of my desktop background, and it logs off. I don't have another computer with xp, I don't have an xp CD and I can't format my c: drive. What should I do, my screenplay is on my harddrive and it's not something I can part with.

As I said in my original post, safe mode does not help me log on.

Make sure userinit.exe is in the winodws\system32 folder, there is a backup in the 1386 folder. You will need to boot you computer up with a bootable Cd and then just copy the file over.
