SATA XP to 7 Closed

Question

Please help - much appreciated in advance.

my windows xp toshiba laptop died, so i took out my sata hard drive and plugged it into my new windows 7 laptop and it installed the driver but wouldn't read the data without asking it to format my hard drive, which i dont want, because it will delete all my information

how do i do this?

Hi there,

Well indeed you need to format it so as it adapted to the motherboard and get expected results,remove it and reseat original hard drive in the good working laptop,purchase a usb sata converter and lug the other hard drive to it by usb .Browse it and extract all your information.If you need more help feel free to contact me via private message.
