Hello,
My computer starts up, I type in my password and the mouse moves and everything. Once it goes to my 'windows page' it freezes up and I can't click anything or move my mouse. The task bar doesn't even load up fully, it just goes blue and doesn't give me the 'start' menu. any suggestions? I've been having trouble with my video card lately, I have to keep wiggling it sometimes to get the lines off my screen, could that contribute to the problem?

Hi There..

Proabably it may be blue screen error.. Try this steps:

Start your Computer in Safe mode:

1)When you restart your computer Click F8. And it will shows you various options, select Safe mode in it .
2) click start > search>type "CTFMON" OR "CTFMONB" DELETE FILES
3) search for "BLACKSTER" and delete it too
4) now here the solution for the prob click start>run>type “MSCONFIG”
5) select the "STARTUP" tab and then deselct all
6) reboot in normal mode
if still you have the issue.. use this method:
7) (ADVISED) RESTORE COMPUTER BACK TO FACTORY DEFAULTS

You should never wiggle anything in the computer when it's turned on! It's not a light bulb it made up of very small electrical parts that can't be subject to such abuse. This could be a Windows problem or a virus problem or a hardware problem. My guess it's a simple failure of software that requires re-installation of Windows.

Good Luck
