Router configuration

Hello,

I have NOKIA SIEMENS NETWORKS Residential Router 1600 (Wireless) installed.

I am using Windows 7 OS.

After Windows & installation while using Skype - the audio is getting frequently interrupted-( I cannot hear the incoming voice and sometimes the my voice is not heard by other party).
The microphone and speakers are Conexant High Defininiton smart..

Skype suggested wireless router setting to be checked (port forward) .
In the " skype site" the paticular router is not listed.

Advise and help is required to solve the problem to get uninterrupted voice communication and for adjusting or setting the router in this regard.
