Help Installing Sims 2 Fun with Pets!

Hello,
I cant install the sims 2 in my pc tho I have the cd..it all goes ok..
first it comes to choose a lang then the code but then when its ready to install it just stops at 54%
and a box pops up...
saying *A PROBLEM OCCURRED WHEN TRYING TO TRANSFER THE FILE 'D:\SUPPORT\SV\?SMIG.TXT' FROM THE MEDIA*
DO YOU WANT TO RETRY TO COPY THE FILE , OR CANCEL THE INSTALLATION?

when I press RETRY the same box pops up!!

What should I do ??? PLEASE HELP!!
