Acer aspire one will not screen up

Hello,
I have an acer aspire one mini. when you press power the light will be green and a couple of other lights will flicker but the screen will not light up. I have taken out battery over night - tried known good power supply but it has not made a difference. can any one offer any advise before I hand it over to the shop$$. I will appreciate any info I get.

If you purchased a lamp and plugged it in but it did not light up you'd bring it back. A preftty fair and reasonable expectation right? I'm taking this 12 hour old non-booting computer back too. Maybe you should do the same? Companies either provide what they promise or they don't make a sale. Seem reasonable to me.
