Hello,
I guess your cd rom cant read copy protected audio cd as there are a lot of them around which have a fake table of contents deliberately designed to fool computers into misrecording the track. Newer drives tend to be ok and overcome the error I would recommend that you try to record the same tracks using another drive and see if the problem persists.
