Hello,
I have Dell Inspiron 640 m model.
Suddenly the system went off while it was running quite well.
At first i thought it might be because of battery getting discharged ,however when connected directly to power its still not booting.
The system is dead with no movement in fan etc....
What kind of problem can it be..??

HI.
I GOT THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY MEDION 96327 LAPTOP.IT SUDDENLY DIED.WHEN PRESSING POWER BUTTON..THE BUTTON LIGHT FLASHES.BUT DOES NOT REBOOT..NOTHING APART FROM THE POWER PACK LIGHT FLASHES AS WELL.IVE HEARD IT CAN BE A LOOSE CONNECTION ON THE MOTHER BOURD,WHERE THE POWER CABLE CONNECTS ONTO THE MOTHER BOURD,IT COMES LOOSE.....OR IT CAN BE THE BATTERY HAS DIED..AND THE POWER IS TRYING TO POWER UP THE BATTERY...OR COULD BE A FAULTY POWER ADAPTER...TRY A DIFFERENT POWER ADAPTER FIRST...OR TAKE BATT OUT,CONNECT LAPTOP TO MAINS,TURN IT ON....OR TRY AND GET ACCESS TO MOTHER BOURD..PUSH IN ANY CONNECTORS...OR LAST IDEA...FIND THE RAM CHIPS AND PUSH THEM DOWN FIRMLY...THESE CAN WORK LOOSE...HOPE THIS HELPS..
