My mac has just stopped reading any kind of external memories, USB, external hard drive, camera and cellphone but still recognize the printer, key board and mouse, when i go to system profiler it tells me there is a memory installed but the device icon doesn't appear on my desktop, any idea what can i do?

I had the same issue with my MacBook Air right out of the box. After numerous calls to Apple support, we ended up reloaded the operating system and the problem was corrected.

Dear Sir,

The problem should surely be sourcing from its operating system and you can try restoring it to see whether the problem gets solved.

Thank you.
