does the screen actually turn on and show nothing ? or does the laptop turn on but the screen looks like it's off? if the screen just looks off but the laptop itself turns on then the monitor is the issue. could be the bulb or wiring might have gone bad. if it turns on but shows nothing, then it is not properly booting. could be bad bios. If you hear the beep when you turn the laptop on then it's not the bios and your monitor is to blame
