History Hi, I received my Acer Extensa 5420 laptop around 3 years ago. In college, I sometimes used to take it to school in my backpack. Sometimes I forgot I had my laptop in my backpack and would throw my bag on the floor.
Problem Maybe thats the reason why the back of the monitor had a crack on it. The crack grew larger over time. Right now I have to place my laptop on the table and cant close the laptop. If I do, then sometimes my laptop switches off.
More Problem since yesterday My laptop screen blacked out on me yesterday afternoon. I switched it off and It would switch on right away and work very well. But in the evening, my bro moved my laptop and again the screen went blank. Today it happened to me one time. When i pressed the "enter" button with some force. (the laptop doesnt switch off, just that the monitor blacks out. I have to manually switch it off thereafter).
Any suggestions on this matter?
I know you will suggest I buy a new laptop, but I cant part with my baby just yet :(
