when i press the power button....only the power light is on....my laptop is acer 5738z.....plzzzz help

Hi there,
Try removing the battery and press on holding power button for 1 minute and reseat back the battery with adapter plugged and power on ,revert back if issue is still the same for more troubleshooting steps.
