Hi, I have HP Pavilion dv5000 laptop, it recently crashed and I reinstalled the system and installed Vista. I have this error "no audio device is installed error" on my screen. I have tried all the possible solutions I read on this website, such as enabling and disabling the device, uninstalling and reinstalling "High Definition Audio Device" option. Still no use, everytime I reinstall or renable it, I get an exclamation mark on it. It gives the message ---"this device cannot start. (Code 10)
Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available."

Please help me out with this problem.

Dear Amna,

The problem being experienced should be coming from the fact that there is no audio driver installed on your system. Please check it from your Device Manager and confirm whether you should have the driver installed or updated.

Thanks.
In Device manager under 'Sound, video and game controllers' option, there are two options "ADS Instant HDTV PCI" and "High Definition Audio Device" ... both these options have yellow exclamation mark on them...what do i do now?
