Hello! I've been searching and reading up black screen issues but it seems most of them of them don't relate to mine. I've installed Windows 7 from Vista a few months ago. Ever since Windows 7, I have been having black screens after the Windows 7 Logo but it was temporary. By that I mean that it'll stay black for about 2-15 minutes before everything appears. During that 2-15 minutes, the monitor displays the products logo over and over which is 'Acer'. I was fine with waiting 2-15 minutes, but I recently found it to be annoying!

I tried updating my video drivers but that didn't work. I also tried installing the Monitor's drivers (AL2216W ACER 22") but it wouldn't let me saying "Windows determined that the drivers are up to date" or something along that. In the device manager, the monitor is titled as "Generic PnP Monitor". I'm not sure if that's the problem.

It would also happen when I would put the PC to sleep. I've never had this problem on Vista or XP! I tend to leave my PC on now since I don't want to wait that long for it to start up. Any help would be appreciated greatly Thanks!

Dear Sir,

Please consider updating the graphic card driver in order to get the problem solved.

Thank you.

As I mentioned in the first post, I have attempted to update my video drivers (ATI XFX 4870). However, that didn't help. Thanks for the reply though.
