how i turn on my wireless connection on my acer 3680 i cant get it to work when i flick my switch

maybe it was disabled, (not with switch) , go to start menu > Connect to > view all connections.

in there take a look and see if your wirles card is disabled, if it is then right-click it and enable it.

if that is not the case then maybe uninstall it and reinstall it.
