Boot up problem with with my Inspiron E1505

Boot up problem with with my Inspiron E1505 laptop. Screen blackout, no DEll booting screen, but the fan and the harddrive were running. I tried swapping out and switching the SO-DIMM memory sticks (2 sticks) but no change or improvement. No LED lights on the DVD-Rom. What does that mean? Any solution? Is it a motherboard problem?

Have to tried switching the display to another monitor?
Connect a external monitor and press display key on laptop along with F4.
This will give you the display on external monitor.

Might be your laptop is having issue with the FL.
