Hard drive

Hi, my hard drive broke a pin on it so i put another hard drive in. The hard drive i put in use to be a slave so i could clean everthing of and i did that going to my computer and right clicked and cliked format.. now i put the old one in as the master and i re did everthing reinstalled windows xp on it and now it say it can not start on with a blue screen say stop and it say take out new drive or might have a virus anyone have ideas on what i should do...... PS i reinstalled windows xp without cd i did it with f10. somebody said it might be a virus but i dont know how to get rid of them because my computer will not get past this ble screen
