IPod nano 4g won't work at all

I have a iPod nano 4g of 8Gb, and i connected it to my computer to charge it. I turned off my computer without disconecting the iPod 'cause I forgot to do so, and when the computer was off and I took my iPod I saw that the screen is like a dark blue, and it doesn't respond to anything I do to it. I disconected it and turn back on my computer, when it was on I connected the iPod again and the screen remains the same, windows does not recognize the iPod and neither iTunes. Any help will be much apreciated.
