IPod won't play

Hello,

I have an iPod, 30Gb that seems to work - does everything but no sound. When I play a song, the screen indicates that it is playing, but no sound. No sound through the earphone jack, no sound through the usb. Tried resetting it (hold menu and center buttons down) but no good.
