Why won't iTunes show all my purchased songs?

I am trying to download a new song from my purchased items list to my iPod but it is only showing all my older songs, not the new songs i purchased this year. what do i do?

i have no promlem getting onto iTunes but i can't find my songs and games and audiobook i recently payed $10 or something for. Thanks for the answer though.

P.S. Don't put Dear Sir on me. i'm not a guy or whatever.
