Dell inspiron

My dell inspiron laptop powers on for 3 seconds, the screen never comes on.
The computer shuts off. Again after sometime it functions properly. The same problem repeats after a shut down. Please help me with a solution.

Please check whether the problem is not coming from over heating or your power supplying unit and indicate for further help.
