why i am not able to add new friends on msnSolved/Closed

Question

hi can anyone help me out from this problem...? 
i have more than 100 friends in my windows messenger....,but i am not able to add new friends on my windows live messenger...!!
i can chat just with that friends who are in my list....but why the new people are not adding to my list ? 
and im using latest version of windows live messenger...!! and i am really having a big problem by not adding mah friends on msn....
i cant even get the friends request too....!!

and if i added that person from yahoo it added...but why its not added in my windows messenger ?
please someone help me out....
Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.5.9

Dear Sir, 

The problem should be coming from the application. Please consider removing it and reinstalling it to have the problem solved.

thanks for ur reply dude....!! i did it so many times by uninstalling the application and install it again...but since my messenger is not working as i want to add new friends..,im not able to add friends in my windows messenger :(
