Boot up stays on POST screen for too long

my motherboard is Intel D865PERL, with P4 CPU, 512 DDR PC3200 Ram
after power on, it shows the POST screen, then it stays there for a minute
then windows (xp) starts, everything is fine

my question is how can I make the 1 minute to like 1 second?

Hi there,

Reset your bios settings to default or change the bios battery and it will be reset automatically after wait for about 10 minutes.

it didn't work, I removed battery for 6 hours, then I restarted it, I noticed the bios setting was reset, but it still stayed at POST screen for a minute
