External HDD can not be loaded

My 160 GB WDC external hard drive is functioning well in my own computer. but when tried to other computers it appears to be detected but fails. It keeps on repeating the same process all over again. Both computers are installed with WIndows XP 2 and have the same antivirus.

Dear Andren,

Please connect it to your PC in the place of the CD ROM drive and hence get it detected.
