Sandisk Cruzer Blade 8GB: Installation proble

Hello,

Sandisk Cruzer Blade 8GB:

When I insert my Sandisk cruzer blade 8GB usb drive into my desktop, it dosen't install. I get the message - "Cannot Install this hardware. There was aproblem installing this hardware: Disk drive. An error occured during the installation of the device. The system could not find the file specified.".

However, the same pen drive works without problem on my laptop. Also, to add, my other pen drives are detected on my desktop without any problems.

Please help.

OS: Win XP sp3 on desktop as well as laptop

these pens have to be formated you should have a U3 utility disc if not download from site and to format it might keep telling you it cant do this see if it works

start menu - my computer - right click on your pen - click on format another screen opens in the last bar nothing written in it type the letter of your usb drive for example E;

and see if it formats
