Not sure about what you meant by "create a new worksheet with a link from the original list". The number of sheets in a workbook depends on the amount of data and the version of excel that you are using.

The end scenario I am looking for is say a list containing 50 cells. I would to be able to press on one of those cells i.e. "Mr Smith" and hyperlink to a worksheet called "Mr Smith".
Therefore, creating a type of contents page for the worksheets contained in the document.
I hope this makes sense.

Basically yes, but also that these worksheets are created from the original 'contents page' .
Is this possible?

Its a 2 part question really.
Firstly, and the main thing is I have is a list of 100+ error codes. I would like to create a worksheet for each of these error codes.
Secondly, from the list of 100+ error codes if a click on 1 cell it would take me to the created worksheet.
