Thank you for this link....I read the info and it says if system restore is disabled that all restore points are deleted....apparently when someone was working on my computer, they did just that....turned it off...
Does that mean I can no longer go back to a restore point? If so, is there any way to rectify this? Or am I just out of luck???
I am a grandmother very new at all of this....any help is greatly appreciated!

Try formatting your PC back 2 factory settings. Make sure u backup anything important onto a disk or you'll lose it.........Good Luck!!!!!!!!!
