No sound on my toshiba vista lap top

Hi
Iam new to pc s I did get it working by getting device man,-sound video etc then Rt click
icon near top of page - scan for hardwear changes and the sound came on now when i try it -it dose not work please can you add vise

try installing your audio drivers

tried that i think i did it right still no suund -may i say i am very graetfull for all your help thank you

many thanks for your help kack4rall i will try installing audio drivers i am not good at pcs I am 82 years old and so good at remembering but i will have a go
