Ipod Won't Turn On

Hello,

I plugged my Ipod into my hard drive last night using the USB cable. Immediately, I noticed that the apple sign was very faint. I could barely see the pictures. Now the Ipod will not turn on. I have tried to hold down the menu and center button for up to 30 seconds. This has not worked either. Help!!

you supposed to hold both power and home button until apple logo pops up then just hold home and you can restore
