Very slowness while installing the Windows xp

Hello,

long back i took one Dell PC, recently i bought new hard disk,i am seeing deadslowness while installing windows xp it is taking 48 hrs.

P4 Processer 2.4 Ghz
1.5GB Ram
250GB Hard disk

Pls help me any body....

The BIOS may not support a 250 GB hard drive. Did the hard drive come with a CD that will load a work-around fix?

i tried with 160 GB...no luck..
