acer aspire 5520 not booting up Closed

Question

Hello, 
         when we turn it on we get the ACER screen for  afew seconds before it goers blank. A white flashing cusor then appears in the top left corner. We can get into the bios by f2 and have tried altering the order of boot priority without success. Any ideas ? Thanks  


Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 8.0

It sounds like something on your system board has failed or come loose.Check to make sure that any memory modules and visible connectors are properly seated. If after that the machine still will not boot, then you'll have to take the computer in for service.
