URGENT - my laptop wont turn on Solved/Closed

Question

i tried turning on my laptop this morning and its refusing to come on. the power lights comes on alright and i can hear the fans working.however i cannot hear the hard disk spinning. i have both linux and windows on my laptop and the startup menu to select the OS doesnt even appear. I really need help!!!!
