Hello,

I notice that when my NUM lock key does not light up after booting, I can't type--but when booting up and the num light comes on and stays on--I can type. Some times I have to reboot 5 times before the Num lock light comes on and stays oso that I can type.

Any suggestions--What is that NUM light lock for anyway

Write me here please~~~~> jesesd@aol.com

NumLck (NumLock) is a feature that most laptops have to simulate a Numeric Keypad using the 789 UIO JKL and M keys. You should have a Function key that toggles on and off the NumLck feature. Look for it on the top row of keys. Press it at the same time as the Fn (function key) to see if it will turn it off.

This might be a sign of early failure of the keyboard. Replacement keyboard can be found on eBay.

Good Luck
