Black screen with white crussers.

Hello,
I have a Dell xps 400 it came with windows xp on it then I upgrade it to windows vista and run it about a year now what I get on my screen is a floppy diskette seek failure can any one tell me what this means and what I need to do to fix it.

Dear

i am pretty sure that your vista is the pack that is for temporally use so find another one that is the original and install it you never face the same problem again my friend
