hi am asking about my pc it has windows xp and i have tryed to put a virgin modem on but my ip address wont change what can i do to sort the problem out

Hi there,
Open connection,set ip to automatic as well as for dns,then in command line type these:
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew
