500Gb hard drive not recognised

Hello,
My motherboard or BIOS does not recognise my Western Digital 500Gb hard drive.

Can someone help

Please indicate whether it is the main hard drive or an external one.

hello ,

Check if your ribbon cable or sata cable is well connected.If your hard disk is IDE check the position your jumper (master,slave,cable selected).
