My ipod is stuck on connect to itunes screen! Solved/Closed

Question

HELP ME!!! MY STINKING IPOD IS STUCK ON THE CONNECT TO ITUNES SCREEN. I JUST RESTORED IT AND EVERYTHING. I ALSO UPDATED ITUNES TO ITUNES 9 AND IT WONT LET ME SYNC IT, AND EVERYTIME I TRY CONNECTING TO THE ITUNES STORE IT SAYS UNKNOWN ERROR(-9809)

I CANNOT GET MY IPOD TOUCH OFF OF THE SCREEN WHERE IT SHOWS TO CONNECT THE USB CORD TO ITUNES. 

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Follow these steps to get it of the connect to itunes screen unfortunately this will reboot your ipod but it will help

-connect your ipod to itunes
-hold down the sleep button & home button
-wait until it turns off then on again then let go of the sleep button but keep holding down the home button
-then restore your ipod
