Laptop is black only shows mouse what do i do

Hello
One day i turn my computer on and then turn off and when i came back to use it that night the it says and error and it loads up to where i put in the password but the only that shows up is the mouse everything else is black what should i do please can any body help me.

Hi,

hold ctrl and shift keys and press Esc key. Let me know if task manager is opened or not.
