How to transfer from iPod to computer?

Hello,

I have tried numerous times to transfer the songs from my iPod touch to my computer with no luck. I have gone on my computer on iTunes under file, I believe, to where it it says transfer songs from iPod to iTunes but it only says syncing for about 1 second then stops and it never transfers the songs. Help! Does anyone know what I can do to accomplish this without deleting any of the songs on my iPod or computer??

Itunes will not transfer songs from the ipod TO the computer. They do not want to make it easy for people to share songs. There are third party software programs that you can purchase to do this. Just Google "ipod transfer"
