Help with My Book Essential- no power?

Hello,
My Mac is no longer recognizing my external hard drive. It was working fine yesterday, but my computer got put to sleep before it was exported, and now I plug it in and nothing happens. Anyone know why, and what to do? Thanks!

Please connect instead of your CD ROM drive for it to get detected and work properly.
