BSOD while installing Windows XP Prof

am anthony
i have hp laptop 2230s
i was running xp on it previously and one day i tried logging on to my account after putting my password it logs me off immediately.
then i tried putting the hard disk on an external hard disk casing to backup my files.
after which i tired to install xp again i was getting error code 7.
next day i tried to install again now blues screen.
i have tried switching the hard disk and ram but the same error

Test your memory, maybe is the memory slot defect.
