Request timed out' facebook

Hi,
I having a problem with opening facebook.com
i use freegate program to open it and i can open any other sites with it
another problem is when I close freegate it doesn't ask me to "close the internet explorer or not" it just quits.
when I ping facebook.com i get "request timed out'
what seems to be the problem?
