I cant get mgs to run on my pc

i am having a problem running mgs on my pc i dont see how i have a 1.1 ghz cpu 256 ram and 4 mb of video memory it still gives me that game crashed during initialization now rendering for software mode all my txt goes bold the game keeps crashing with the same error message any solutions?
