Dell Inspiron 1545 not booting up

Hello,

I have Dell Inspiron 1545. Last week I worked on my laptop till late night. Next day when I tried to boot it up. Its not at all responding. There is no flash light no power button. Laptop is totally behaving like dead. I tried by removign battery and put it again but in vain. I tried by booting it on direct power, however no response. Please help.

Then I took my laptop to Dell service center. The expert guy told me that there is an issue in mother board.
Is it correct? Can we do any try to repair it at my own?
