Computer powers on, doesn't boot.Closed

Hello, 

Computer powers on, does not boot, monitor says it is working, but goes to sleep from lack of signal. After reading through the forums and doing some tests, I've noticed that no signals are going to the keyboard, mouse, or monitor, and that the processor does not heat up, I'm using an AMD sempron 1.8ghz. Would this happen to mean I need a new processor?

Configuration: Windows Vista / Firefox 3.5.11

Also, last time I was running computer I was running a game, which I still can't retrieve from the disk tray, which  no longer works properly. It clicks as though it is engaging, but the cd drive never actually ejects.
