Cannot open exe files or regedit - Vista Home Closed

Question

Hi, 

I can't open any newly downloaded exe files (I can open notepad and web browsers...) and my access to regedit is blocked.

Please help!!!!

Dear Leah, 

Please consider using the Administrator's account for gettinig access to regedit and also consider checking whether you have the specific applications installed for getting the applications open.
