1500 Dell with Windows VistaClosed

Hello, need some help

I'm having problems with my Dell 1500 with Windows Vista. When I power up it shows dell and the bar than it goes black with my mouse cursor which I can move but that is it. Can anyone help. 

PS. the Ctrl Alt and delete does not work either.





Configuration: Mac OS X / Firefox 3.5.6

Please carry out a system restore while getting in safe mode and hence get the problem solved.
